Polarization Rotators
A Polarization Rotator is a device used to rapidly rotate the state of a linearly
polarized light source. Polarization Rotators are typically used to route beams
through complex optical systems when coupled with polarizing beam splitters.
Boulder Nonlinear Systems manufactures and sells liquid crystal based Polarization
Rotators on a custom designed basis for applications requiring active timing
control of linearly polarized light source. Key features of our various Polarization
Rotators include high-speed binary operation, high resolution analog operation,
high purity linear polarized output, high transmission, and large rotation ranges.
Since these devices are solid state – undesirable mechanical motion, associated
noise, and vibration problems are eliminated.
Boulder Nonlinear Systems offers two different technologies for active control
of polarization rotation. Detailed information can be found by contacting
Boulder Nonlinear Systems.
